It’s What We Do will be on display in New Hampton School’s Galletly Gallery from Monday, August 25 – Friday, October 3, 2025. The public is cordially invited to a reception for the artists on September 12, 5:30 – 7:00 pm. The exhibit features the artworks of 16 artists. Rather than creating work to fit a theme, this exhibit highlights the art we are currently and authentically creating for ourselves because it’s what we do.
The Plymouth Pod of the Women’s Caucus for Art, New Hampshire (WCA/NH) is a large and active group of artists residing in the vicinity of Plymouth, NH. It is part of a national organization that promotes the advancement of women in the visual arts through educational programs, networking, and exhibition opportunities. Member Suzan Gannet shares, “The pod has successfully created a community of artists that cherish the opportunity to meet, share ideas, and offer critiques of one another’s work. For me, this is such a unique opportunity, and I love this ability to meet with other women artists.” The group meets once a month to share their new artworks, new processes, and their current inspiration. You do not need to be a member of the WCA to be a member of the Plymouth pod.
Works represented in the exhibit include large-scale mosaics, paintings in oil and acrylic, fiber, wood and mixed media sculpture, mono prints, quilted fabric, cyanotypes, and color photography. Artists represented in this exhibit include: Robbin Adams, Paulette Brace, Janet Cocchiaro, Alma Grand, Suzan Gannett, Rebecca Hastings, Betsy McCoy, Annette Mitchell, Maundy Mitchell, Susan Noel, Maryellen Sakura, Marcia Santore, Cilla Sheehan, Martha Gifford Stevermer, Linda Walsh, and Amy Wilson.
