Matt Brehon ’18 checked in with us on Instagram as he was preparing for his first DI Football game on August 31. Matt plays for the Warriors at Merrimack College, a college located in North Andover, Massachusetts. Their opening game was against Virginia University Lynchburg, and the Warriors won 45-14. Best of luck this season, Matt, and thank you for dropping us a line!

Matt Brehon is one of the faces of our young alumni at New Hampton School.

How is your experience at Merrimack?

I’m now in my sophomore year at Merrimack. I major in Criminal Justice and Criminology. One thing I’ve learned here is preparation. Merrimack has helped me approach all things in life with an open mind and to stay dedicated even when times get rough.

What are a couple of fun memories from New Hampton School?

A fun memory from New Hampton School for me would be enjoying the former college-athlete panel discussion we had. That helped me prepare for college as an athlete. Also, enjoying the winter school play—it was very funny.

Words to Husky Nation

Just wanted to say THANK YOU New Hampton School. Forever grateful for my experience at our school. You guys put me in an awesome position to play in my first Division 1 game today (August 31). Have a wonderful year and tell Coach Kiley I said ‘HI!’
