The admission cycle is in full swing as families continue to visit independent schools virtually. Here at New Hampton School, we know that this year looks very different for our applicants due to the pandemic. Our Admission Team works hard to create various ways for prospective students to feel connected to our community from the comfort of their homes. To help you navigate the virtual school search, we’ve compiled the top four ways to connect with a school virtually.
Attend Virtual Admission Events
This is a great place to start learning about New Hampton School and all it has to offer. Our Admission Team hosts a variety of events, including program-specific and admission overviews. To provide an overview of the application process, we offer monthly Admission 101 sessions to walk families through applying to independent schools. In addition to these events, we also offer sessions that review our Academic Support Program, athletics, and student life. All of our programmatic events involve various members of our community. Whether it is a current parent, a department head, or an alumna/us, these events offer engaging perspectives of a New Hampton experience. Every week we list upcoming games and weekend activities in our Instagram stories and snapshots of campus life in our feed. Watch a Live Game
Just because you can’t be on the sidelines doesn’t mean you can’t cheer on the Huskies! Thanks to our NHS Live channel, you can watch live games and performances from home! After you’ve checked out our Instagram stories to see what events will be streamed, head to our website to be a part of the action. Many of our faculty members have been involved as commentators for our games, adding extra flair (and bad jokes) to our events. Not only can you watch live events, but you can view past events as well. Watching live and archived events is a great way to feel what it’s like to be part of our community; it also lets you see what our programs are like in action. We want you to be able to picture yourself on the stage or the field. NHS Live is the best way to do so!
